I remember those kind of storms! They are scary and crazy. But kind of fascinating. I'm glad you took some pictures.
I think your rain came over to us! It was insane. I hope y'all didn't flood inside your house.
So where did all the water go?
Lanny, fortunately, our house was on high enough ground that it didn't flood. Thank goodness!Kelley, it drained within a few hours. I heard from a friend that there was still some debris in some of the drainage systems that usually drain all the rainwater into the bayous, so it wasn't draining properly, causing a lot of streets to flood. You can see some of the retention areas still have some standing water. And the ground is still completely soaked.
wow, thats nuts!
That is amazing. Even more so that it was gone so quickly.
HOLY SMOKES! THAT MUCH RAIN? I've never seen anything like that! Your an amazing Kale grower and vacuum packer! We will be getting our harvest in about a month! We mostly can tomatoes, but we are getting some pretty yummy peaches, so maybe we can eat most of them and can the rest. You are such a good mom!
