Lesson learned

When you go out to mow the lawn after several days of rain, do NOT forget to completely cover yourself in bug repellent. If, by chance, you neglect to do this, you will pay for it dearly. Trust me. I know.

Ooooh - so sorry. We have a freakish amount of mosquitos in our backyard, always. There's no standing water nearby or anything, so we're not sure where they come from. But when I go out to hang my clothes (which takes all of about 10 minutes), I come in with at least five bites. Quite frustrating actually. by the way - I LOVE your blog design :).

So Sorry! I hate mosquitoes. They are one creation I don't think twice about killing. Hope you don't itch for too long!

Ooo, I'm sorry to hear that. Mosquitoes, chiggers, roaches - they're all yucky, and I'm not quite sure I see the point of any of them.

In the words of Ogden Nash, which we could probably change to fit the circumstances:

God in his wisdom created the fly,
And then forgot to tell us why.

Love it. :)

Karatemommy, thanks. :o)

Shan, I totally agree. Fortunately, the mosquitoes are rather slow, so they're not hard to kill. If only there weren't so many of them!

Kelley, that is a good quote. LOL!

Yes, after this weekend, with lots of bug bites on top of stings, and now one kiddo being tested for Lyme disease, I don't think I'll be going far or doing much without a thick layer of bug repellent all over us!
