Okay, so it's more random ramblings...
Lots of laundry
congratulations doreen! we didn't have a line and i just had joel put up a makeshift one. where did you find yours? it is just the right size for a family with lots of laundry to dry! don't you love the humidity with the clothes? you don't have to iron!!
Yes, lots of laundry to do with a family of 6, hehe. Erin, I got it at Target (online). You can also get them off Amazon (just search clothes line, lots of choices will pop up). It wasn't exactly cheap, but it's nice. I wanted something compact, nowhere to really string a line between trees here. :p I also wanted to be able to put it somewhere kind of out of sight of the neighbors, and not visible from the street. This one's nearly perfect. The line itself is kinda flimsy, we'll see how long it holds up (should be easily replaceable if needed). The lines are also really close together, so I can only use every other one. It still easily holds two really big loads, which is generally all I do in one day. It's supposed to have 210 feet of line space, so usable is about 100 feet, still plenty. The way you install it is you cement a base into the ground (takes about 150 pounds of concrete), and then the contraption slides right into the base (so you can take it out if you want to during heavy storms or something). We'll see how it holds up to everyday wear and tear. I got the one that's all galvanized steel (they also have aluminum), I figured that would be more durable. Anyway, more than you wanted to know, hehe. So far, so good. We'll see how my first two loads turn out today. They're probably about ready to be taken down.
A Bosch frontloader!!! And a clothes line! You are so Euro-chic!
I love the clothes line! I really want one...
oh girl, yes, that is LAUNDRY HEAVEN! Oh the amazing Bosch front loader...are you loving it? We miss you guys!!
clothes line. Perfect for your kids to hang from, run into etc. (that's what we did to annoy my mom)and front loaders! Are they the efficient water washers?I want to come visit you JUST to do my laundry.
Ardis, of course I'm loving it! We miss you guys, too. It's been especially tough for the kids to not have a lot of friends to play with here. They get bored with each other, and then I have to play referee... :pMimi, yes, it's both water and energy efficient. :o) BTW, I need an invite to your blog. Google reader won't update private blogs. doreen1999 at yahoo dot com :p
